Tonight where I am, the sky is overcast, with a chance of snow. Seeing the stars on a computer screen doesn't compare to a bright yet moonless winter's night full of shining, sparkling lights.

So. Most of you know I use a mind map as a replacement for all my various to-do lists and schedules and stuff. Well, I remembered something, a trick you can pull on yourself. Affirmations.

What do affirmations have to do with this mind map? Simple. You repeat your affirmation every day, and it helps to shape your mind, and thus your life.

So what did I do? I now have the sentence "I welcome enlightenment into my life" on the "Today" branch of my schedule. Today: I welcome enlightenment into my life. Every day; often several times a day. I read quickly enough that just glancing at it causes this sentence to activate in my mind.

Affirmations made easy: just make them an ordinary part of something you look at all the time. Advice not understood until I made it real for me.
